From another site:
From a distance, anyone could see the stressed and tired blue eyes that just stared out at the dangerous and daring water. From pictures in books, the water did always look rather frightening as night began to approach but now that she was here, it was more so that if she stepped into the moving waves, she may never being heard again. She could scream and scream but as long as no one stood on the sand she would be alone, just like she always had been.
Finally the eyes belonging to Elizabeth dropped down, letting her body bend down to slip off her black high heels. She always wore heels, they made her feel taller and less likely to bump face first into the chest of someone, which always embarrassed her. Slipping her middle finger and index finger under the straps of her shoes, she finally stepped onto the sand. Feeling the grains go through the toes of her sore feet, she winced a little and decided to tip toe forward into the middle of the sand and then slowly to the edge of the water, letting the tide coming to her.
Feeling the wind pick up, her hair lifted up and moved to drape over her shoulder. Closing her eyes, she tried to stop a yawn from escaping but didn't quite manage and put her delicate hand across her lips so to appear she did have manners even though there was no one around watching, or at least she was unaware if there anyone was. The recent late nights preparing for university and finding every corner she turned something went wrong, she had grown stressed. Her friends decided to give her a map and to direct her to the beach to try and relax. She was sure she had been reading it upside down, afterall, geography had been her weakest subject. After feeling agitated, she had thrown it away and with trouble, managed to ask people and follow signs, she arrived three hours later feeling exausted and tired. Looking around, she couldn't relax, she hadn't relaxed in a long time, even the natural waves of the water didn't help any.
Slowly her eyes came to rest on a walking male in the distance. It was hard to see any of his features, really only an outline. Well at least she wasn't alone, if anything did happen she guessed she would be a little safer. Returning her attention to the hungry waves, she stepped forward so the water was up to her ankles. Curling her toes into the soft sand, her eyes closed as the wind blew her hair off her face. Finally she found herself starting to relax.
