Sitting quietly at the table, as the rest of the Monroe's were doing, Corbin sat slightly slouched with his arms loosely folded across his chest, examining the meal his mother had prepared for the family dinner. He was never a big fan of her cooking, though he was sure nobody else could truely say they were either, regardless of whether they managed to scarf it down or not. Before he reluctantly showed up to this reuniting dinner, he had taken the liberty in grabbing something to eat along the way, knowing that he would probably have been starving by the end of the night. And so with an already full stomach, he sat through the agonizing silence, glancing down at his watch every few minutes, mentally cursing his parents for even coming here in the first place. He knew all too well what they were trying to do; get them all back together and turn it back to how it used to be. He also understood that it was completely ridiculous for them to even think of doing such a thing. What was done, was done and they couldn't just erase what they didn't want to be in their family.
For the most part, he barely listened to the conversation beginning to stir around the table, but a light scowl crossed his features as Jon spoke. The way his brother acted around their parents disgusted Corbin; always sucking up to them, making them believe his innocent facade - it was just irritating to have to sit there and listen to him. But the scowl soon faded as his attention was caught by Nadia once again, watching her as she gathered her plate, glass and chair, and moved to sit between Jon and himself. He willingly scooted his chair over a bit to make room for her own, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips towards her remark regarding Jon's behaviour as he laced his fingers with her own, brushing his thumb gently over her knuckles. One of the many things he loved about her - how outspoken she was, that particular trait usually always lit up his face with a smile. Then again, she usually did the same to him in general. He was the happiest he had ever been in a while, even though the two of them were in a sore situation with the baby. But he tried his best to be optimistic about it all and hoped that they would be granted a miracle and the little boy or girl they had created would have a chance of being healthy and not deformed. "I love you too." he spoke softly, a smile wrapping his lips as she pressed her own against his in a kiss. Corbin could almost immediately feel the tension building in the room, causing him to bare his teeth in a soft grin as he pulled away from her slowly, stealing another quick kiss before leaning back against his chair.
It was only then that he allowed himself to discreetly scan over the faces of his other family members while he reached for his glass with his free hand to take a sip of his drink. The thought of his parents squirming in their seats over Nadia and himself kept the small grin plastered to his face. He wanted them to feel uncomfortable, he wanted them to feel so uncomfortable that they would want to return to London. It would probably seem awful, but Corbin didn't really want anything to do with his parents. If they couldn't accept him for who he was, then that was their problem - he wasn't about to change to please anyone.
