So, date night. Cecilia was a bundle of nerves. It had had taken her probably about five hours to get ready. He skipped the last few classes and ran home and started trying to decide what to wear. This is exactly why she didn’t date, it was so overly stressful and scary and the entire process drove her crazy. Cecilia wasn’t sure whether to be fancy or plain because the fact that, yes it was an arcade but she still wanted to be cute, and what if they decide to go get something to eat and it’s some place fancy. This whole thing was giving Cecilia serious headache. Then there was the hair. Again, did she want to look super cute, or casual. Or sexy. After three hours, and trashing her bedroom, and several thrown hair brushes, and make up brushes she finally decided. This night was mostly, for her, making sure that Noah could see her in a non-sexual light. So she should probably show him the side of her that he hadn’t really seen. Her and Noah’s relationship had been majorly parties, and late nights. So she decided to be maybe a little overly casual.
Cecilia had selected a blue cookie monster t-shirt. The kind with his face plastered against her chest. A pair of dark blue Skinny Jeans, and chucks. Yep, casual. But it was an arcade; it was probably covered in kids vomit and popcorn. Cecilia’s hair was pulled back into a ponytail with her bangs in her face. Her makeup was pretty basic. It was always done all out for her. Cecilia finally got ready and realized that she had about two hours left. She spent the rest of the time pacing, biting her nails, and flipping out about whether or not this was a joke or not. In her head she was scared the whole thing was a practical joke. He was probably not going to show up. Why would he show up? He probably just asked her because he was bored and she was there. Or he will show up and see that Cecilia isn’t what he wanted and then leave her at that arcade without any bus money.
Yep, Cecilia was pretty paranoid. This was her first real date with someone who she already pretty much best friends with. It was getting close to seven and she her nerves were too much. She decided that it was all too much and grabbed her phone to text him and call it off, but when she picked up her phone she saw that she had one from him. It was him asking her to meet her at the arcade instead of him picking her up. Cecilia sighed and decided that it was too late to back out of it. She grabbed her purse and her keys and walked out. After taking the bus for a few stops she walked down the street to the arcade. Cecilia could feel her heart pounding in her chest and her palms getting a little swearing. If she stopped walking, she was pretty sure she’d be shaking. Cecilia got there and was little sad to see that he wasn’t anywhere in sight. Cecilia sat down on a bench and started down at the ground and at kids feet as they passed her. She wasn’t sure if she was about to faint of puke, but either way she couldn’t remember the last time her nerves where this bad

Casual, Dressy, Converse, Vans! Noah couldn't decide on anything. He sighed, loudly as he threw his clothes around his room. He was growing more frustrated by the second. Noah had three hours but he hadn't even done his hair yet. He had just gotten out the shower after he had finished writing a song that he had started a few weeks ago. Noah was glad he had asked Cecilia out today because it gave him all the muse he needed for his song. But, that wasn't what he asked her out for. And, he sure didn't ask her out for a lay, either.
Noah took a few seconds to calm down before pulling out a white tank top to go as an undershirt. He pulled that over his bare chest before grabbing a light blue flannel over shirt and pulled that over his arms over his tank top. He got his torso down, now he had to find the perfect bottoms. He had been running around like a chicken with his head cut off in nothing but plaid boxers for a good ten minutes, being frustrated and mad. His twin sister hadn't been here for him to ask for some advice so he had tried to think of outfits up in his head while working on the song which didn't help him much.
Noah grabbed his favorite fitted jeans that matched with the flannel over shirt, perfectly. He moved over to his mirror and began to fix up his hair, brushing through it a couple times before finally leaving it the way he always did right over his blue eyes. He never liked his eyes being completely exposed. Sure, he made lots of eye contact but for his shield not to be there was torture. Noah smiled, one of his favorite features before grabbing a couple bracelets that he always wore and a necklace his sister had given him when they were younger.
Noah was finally done. Finally! And, now he had about two hours and thirty minutes to spare. Noah grabbed his guitar and sat on his bed, beginning to play his new song. He smiled, brightly, so far so good. Hopefully, the night would continue to be good. He had convinced his mom into letting him have the car for the night so he could go on a date. He promised not to crash it or do anything funny in it. Noah couldn't help but laugh as he played expertly. He played for the two hours he had before leaving the house, thirty minutes early.
Cecilia's house wasn't too far from Noah's house. It only took him about fifteen minutes to get there. Noah parked in front of her house, looking at the front door with his eyes before slowly getting out of the car, nervously. Noah's legs felt like jello and his heart was pumping faster than his car engine had when he was going forty down a thirty. Noah sighed before shaking his head and grabbing her surprise out of the back seat. He almost forgot it. That would've been bad. After grabbing the surprise, he walked to the front door and knocked on the door three times before beginning to wait patiently.
Noah was praying that she liked tulips.

After a few more minutes of absolutely freaking out Cecilia decided it was best to try and relax with a cup of tea. She went to the kitchen and put on some water, and started pacing again. She had totally forgotten why she was doing this. She didn’t even understand why anyone would do this? This was hell, and torture, and everything that was wrong with adolescents. Cecilia just wanted to calm down, really badly. Her pacing wasn’t working and finally her water boiled. Cecilia took off the water and poured her cup of tea. She sat back into a chair and started sipping it trying calm down.
Then it came to her that tea stained your teeth and she could get tea breath. Glancing at the clock she freaked out and almost spilled her tea everywhere, jumping up and running upstairs to brush her teeth. So forget calming down. She ended up sitting on the stairs staring out the window. Then she decided that if he drove by and saw her sitting there he would probably think she was a freak for just sitting there waiting. Cecilia then decided to wait in the kitchen where he couldn’t see her. But she was making sure to be super quite so that she would hear him drive up.
Finally she heard a car pulling up and a door open and close. Her heart was pounding, she felt absolutely terrified. She heard him knocking on the door and she silently had a yelling match with her feet because they didn’t exactly want to move. Finally they listened and she opened the door. The second she saw him she now understood why adolescents did these such things. Noah looked pretty much amazing right now. She wouldn’t be surprised if she gasped a little. It took her a second to take everything in. Cecilia smiled at him pretty widely. “Hey. Howre you?” She asked still pretty distracted by his eyes. They were so blue and deep and pretty.
“Oh, I mean come in.” She said forgetting the part where he shouldn’t stand outside probably. Cecilia felt her cheeks burning. It even took her a second to notice that he had gotten her flowers, well she was going to assume they were hers. It would kind of be a downer if it wasn’t. She wasn’t going to just take them though. Cecilia stepped back and let him in. She didn’t hesitate from giving him a hug, careful to avoid the flowers, and a kiss on his cheek. Lips wouldn’t have been more satisfying but she didn’t want to give him the wrong impression.
