SPARKS WILL FIRE BENEATH THE LUNAR LIGHTSAZARUS AND FRANKENSTEINSBABE I'LL BE A FLATLINER FOR A HEARTKILLERWILL WE DIE ABOVE THE LAST SUNLIGHT It was all flashing and the sound of bangs. Winner and game over covered the majority of the digital screens. People stared intensely at these games in the arcade. This was his sort of place, where Revlis could be a child and no one could judge him for it. Well it wasn’t like he really cared if he was judged in the first place but this was just where he was able to feel at home. So many games and yet it seemed like he didn’t have enough time or money to play all of them. That was just wrong.
Lucky for him, Revlis had befriended one of the workers rather easily and therefore, he got many free coins to play with. “Go, go, go!” He was playing one of those racing games, driving a virtual car. Oh how he loved it though. The car on the screen had slammed into many other cars and obstacles. He obviously wasn’t very good at the game but that never stopped him from having a good time with it. “No, go!” His voice rose as he got a bit frustrated with his failed attempt at driving. “Come on, you can do it! Go!”
GAME OVER. The words clearly covered the screen as he came in last place, his little red race car not able to hand his reckless driving. The thought of him driving a real car on a real road was scary enough. Maybe that was why he usually stuck with getting a ride or taking his skateboard. “Mr. Llama will come back and eat your jello flavored alien! You will soon face the DOOM of the tuna can!" He yelled all of this back to the game loud enough for the whole arcade to hear him. He needed to calm down.
Frustrated, he jumped out of the seat. Glancing back down at the tickets wrapped around his neck, he wondered what he could trade them in for. Of course, he would get a child’s toy instead of saving all of his tickets for something like a Nintendo Wii with games. There was no fun with that. It wasn’t like you could carry it around and show it off to people. Unlike others, he kept all of his prizes and commonly had odd little trinkets on him at all times. That was Revie for ya and no one could understand it all.TOP HATS OFF TO THE RETURN OF THE BEAT TO LICK A WOUND TO CURSED FOR SOME AND BLESSED FOR A FEW IT DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL [/blockquote] † tag » Aurora † word count » 400 † lyrics » "Heartkiller" by H.I.M. † status » finished † notes » Rev needs a life. lawl

Post by AURORA KAY HANSEN on Apr 17, 2010 11:13:30 GMT -5
Wandering around the rec center wasn't quite a favorite pastime of Aurora's, but it was the place she seemed magnetized to go whenever she was bored. She liked walking around and just observing -- most people would call it people-watching. She stopped in the food court and grabbed a slice of pizza for lunch, and was content to sit and just look around for awhile after she was done. She finally had a Saturday with nothing to do, and it felt wonderful to just bask in her laziness.
Finally deciding it was time to move on, the girl stood up. A group of three big, athletic guys walked past, and she glanced at them. All three were ogling her jeans, but she didn't care. Aurora had gotten weird stares because of these jeans since she'd bought them in Chicago, but they were among her favorites. She liked the splotchy-paint look they were working, although she would never wear them when she worked on any of her own paintings at home. She had two pairs of jeans specifically for that purpose, and the legs were splattered with a rainbow of colors thanks to her efforts. Aurora shook her head with a small sigh as the guys continued walking, and she headed in the opposite direction. She didn't know what she was looking for; she was really just getting back into the groove of wandering around.
Aurora couldn't help but giggle when she heard a familiar voice shrieking in the arcade. She didn't spend much time in there herself -- it was usually too loud and crazy for her taste, but for Revlis it was like a moth and flame. Standing in the doorway, she saw him playing one of the larger racing games, his back to her. When he freaked out and started yelling about jello-flavored aliens and tuna can doom, Aurora lost it. She doubled over with laughter and had to lean on the door frame for support. He was always like this, and it cracked her up. Regaining control of her composure, for the moment, Aurora moved toward him and peered at the game. "Nice," she commented. "I might try the air hockey game if I were you, though," she said with a wink. "Then I could finally kick your ass at something."

SPARKS WILL FIRE BENEATH THE LUNAR LIGHTSAZARUS AND FRANKENSTEINSBABE I'LL BE A FLATLINER FOR A HEARTKILLERWILL WE DIE ABOVE THE LAST SUNLIGHT Revlis felt like crossing his arms in front of his chest and sticking his tongue out at the game like a child would. He was a sore loser at times but he would be back to try the game again in a couple of minutes if nothing else distracted him. He had a great deal of determination that would always drive him to complete something, even if they meant trying to win until the day he died. 88 year old Revie in there, still trying to be the racing car game 70 years later. His luck, it would be there.
Turning those shining icy blue orbs to meet Aurora’s, he listened to her when she spoke to him. He honestly hadn’t noticed her come since he was plotting about the game. Though now his mind was distracted and he had the chance to make a new friend! Thinking about it for a moment, he realized that he’d seen her before. They were neighbors but he couldn’t remember her name off the top of his head. “NEIGHBOR person,” he happily cheered and gave her a quick friendly hug before retreating. Normally when he hugged people, they got annoyed; so he’d learned.
Glaring back at the racing game, he pointed a finger at it. “’Tis and evil evil evil gamey! It should be slapped with a wet fish of Mars! I’d rather play tic tac toe with a rapid baboon on a motorcycle.” There he was again, going around and making no sense to anyone, unless Aurora was able to understand his odd language. He finished glaring at it and finally crossed his arms in front of his chest and stuck his tongue out at it, making faces, just as he’d planned on doing before. It needed to die a painful death.
Aurora’s words returned to him, something about air hockey. Yes, that would be a very interesting game for him to play. Chances were, he’d send the hockey puck to the other side of the room but it was worth the try. Reaching back down into his pants pocket, he pulled out some coins. Holding them in his gloved hand, he reached out to her, coins in hand. “Come play games with me, neighbor person!” Oh right, he was sure now that she didn’t know his name either even though it was just a thought. “Oh hai! I’m Revie,” he said, happy to introduce himself.TOP HATS OFF TO THE RETURN OF THE BEAT TO LICK A WOUND TO CURSED FOR SOME AND BLESSED FOR A FEW IT DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL [/blockquote] † tag » Aurora † word count » 404 † lyrics » "Heartkiller" by H.I.M. † status » finished † notes » Bad memory much?
